Wat niet meeverhuist

A visual dossier on private enforcement in the Netherlands. A company that recovers damages from shoplifters is defensible; a company that fines festival-goers for drug possession is something else. Along the way, tasks moved out of the criminal justice system, but the safeguards stayed behind. With screen-print-style illustrations as a counterweight to the strict design.

Proposal: problem and solution

Eight posters, each with one concrete proposal for the Netherlands: three free train trips a year, a guaranteed bike space on the train, a swimming certificate for every child, room for a child. Each poster is built around one image, such as the train journey Utrecht–Delft as a rail line with the arguments as stops. And at the bottom, always honestly: caution, works on this plan.

Seven answers about the ICC

Seven AI models were given the same question about the US sanctions against the International Criminal Court. A quadrant spreads them out, from neutral to outspoken and from complete to selective, and a single Rubio quote shows how it changes from model to model. An opinion piece, but as an infographic.

Knol

A game in real time. You are a shark tooth on the ocean floor, 66 million years ago, and one second in the game is one second in real life: without speeding up, it takes 66 million years.
